This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by the City of Niagara Falls (the “City”) to prospective respondents (each a “Respondent”) to submit a response (each a “Response”) to qualify for eligibility to provide General Contractor Services for projects with a value between $130,000 and $5,000,000 at Various Facilities in the City of Niagara Falls as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). This pre-qualification applies to various projects including repairs, maintenance, renovations, additions, and various Capital projects. This RFSQ is the first stage in a two-stage procurement process for the selection of a general contractor to complete the work. Stage 1 – Pre-Qualification of General Contractors Establish a list of pre-qualified contractors (the “Pre-Qualified General Contractors”) who are eligible to participate in Stage 2 of the process. Stage 2 – Competitive Procurement Process Invite the Pre-Qualified General Contractors to participate in a formal competitive process for the provision of the Deliverables. Bonding will be required on all projects with construction budgets of $130,000 or over, as determined by the specific Scope of Work for each project. In all cases, specific Bonding requirements will be identified in any subsequent Quotation or Tender Document(s) for the projects identified herein. The projects will generally utilize Stipulated Sum CCDC contracts with standard City supplementary conditions. The City reserves the right to bypass this pre-qualified list and tender projects to different sets of contractors based on projects that have specific specialized requirements, or different contractual terms, or values. Respondent(s) who have previously been qualified to provide the services described herein, or who are currently performing work for the City must also respond to this request to be considered for future work assignments. The City shall pre-qualify General Contractors for all work based on the Contractor’s relevant experience and their references provided. |
