The City is requesting proposals for Beautification Services (hereby known as Gardening & Maintenance) at various sites within the City as further described in Section 3 – Project Overview and Objectives.

The Successful Proponent will provide gardening services at identified sites across the City during the growing season consisting of eight (8) months from April to November of each year.  

The purpose of this project is to ensure all areas as listed in Appendix E – Locations Maps, are well kept in the routine manner as prescribed in the work plan. Further inclusive of sourcing all required materials for plantings in gardens and planters, the subsequent maintenance materials, and equipment to maintain those plantings, and the mowing of certain sites. This service is solely the responsibility of the successful proponent and is not paired with City of Niagara Falls staff. The upkept of sites as described further throughout this RFP play a role in drawing visitors to the City and facilities within. 

The main objective of this contract is to enhance the City’s aesthetic appeal through green spaces, flower beds, raised planters, cemeteries and streetscaping.
